Are you just starting your marital journey, and already having a misunderstanding with your husband?

  1. Have a positive attitude towards your marriage; believe that you will succeed.
  2.  Learn to accept your fault whenever there is a misunderstanding
  3.  Always say sorry when you realize your fault.
  4.  Don’t depend on your husband as your source of happiness, depend on God.
  5.  Don’t compare your husband with other husbands, every human being is unique.
  6.  Don’t keep a record of your husband’s mistakes.
  7. Try to do what pleases your husband and avoid what he dislikes.
  8.  Know that every human being has limitations including you and your husband.
  9.  Don’t rush to seek advice from your unmarried friends.Seek counsel from your Pastor or a Christian marriage counsellor.
  10. Learn to depend on the grace of God by having a constant fellowship with God through His word and prayers.

Have you been in the system for a while, and still having a frequent misunderstanding in your marriage?

  1. Determine to make your marriage a success, and work towards it.
  2.  Learn to control your feelings whenever your husband raises his voice on you.
  3.  Don’t try to defend yourself when your husband is angry with you.
  4.  Stop nagging and start appreciating.
  5.  Gently tell your husband his mistakes when he is in his good mood.
  6.  Don’t oppose your husband in the public; he would be embarrassed.
  7.  Learn to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit instead of your own opinion.
  8. Determine to be the salt and light of your family.
  9.  Learn to depend on God’s grace, and not on your effort.
  10.    Study the word and pray for your marriage fervently.
  11. Do any other thing that the Holy Spirit lays in your mind that would build your relationship.
